We flew in yesterday, and got in a bit late. She did great on the plane! Just had fun more than anything. No crying at all!! I still had to keep her just a little quite so that she didn’t disturb everyone. She wanted to jump around all the time! Last night was rough for Claire though. She woke up probably 3-4 times crying. She just wasn’t used to her new surroundings and new crib. So needless to say, I was exhausted.
It was quite a moment for two happy grandma’s today. A close friend of the family who I grew up with, brought her granddaughter over to my mom’s house to meet Claire today. It was such a precious moment. Samantha, who is almost two years old, was such a sweetheart to Claire. She kept helping her play with her toys, and putting her pacifier back in her mouth. It was absolutely adorable! I grew up with Samantha’s mom, Anne (who was in Turkey on a trip while Claire and I were visiting), so it was pretty cool for the grandma’s and I to see our kids together. Claire already seemed happy to see another kid close to her age.
After Nancy (Samantha’s grandma) came over, my mom’s next door neighbor came to see Claire. They were playing patty-cake. It was so cute! Then we went shopping and then grandma got to take over so that I could have a night out.
