She’s now a little over 10 months old, yet she’s so big! She can’t really fit comfortably into 12 month old clothes. Not quite sure what 10 month old can. Everyone I’ve been talking to has said that you should by clothes almost double their age because that’s what they can really fit into.
I went on a “meet-up” this last weekend with some other moms. It was actually pretty fun. We met at the mall (we were supposed to be 45 people doing a picnic, but it rained – hey, it’s Seattle right!), and it was probably about 10 of us including the kiddos. I met some really nice moms and one of them already invited us over to their house for a movie night with babysitters at the house so that parents could hang out. Too bad it was this coming weekend when we’re going to Colorado. Oh well. Speaking of, I’m wondering how Claire will do this time on the plane and staying at my mom’s house. Last time was a bit difficult because she was out of sorts with her new sleeping arrangements. We’ll see how she does this next time!
We’ve been introducing more foods to Claire, but I think we need to give her even more variety (daycare kind of said so too). We gave her yogurt and apple/strawberry sauce, tofu, cheese and bread. It’s really hard to know what foods she’s ready for. I think Jeff is a little apprehensive about giving her too much because she only has two teeth, but she’s seemed to figure things out.
So Claire is really into the stage of bumping herself on things. This last weekend she must have hit her head on the coffee table or something because there was a mark on her head. When I went to drop her off at daycare, Priscilla asked about it. I almost felt like I was being questioned as far as what was going on with her. It almost makes you feel guilty, but then I’ve got to remember that this is just the stage she’s in. For a minute I was mad that Priscilla questioned me, then I was thankful that she did. We’re blessed to have such great people who care so much about Claire. They only want the best for her.
