What a fun weekend we had! Mema and Papa came to visit! They came in on Saturday, and it was perfect out. Claire was a little fussy still (rightfully so!), but she gave them smiles anyway. Jeff had to work, but the rest of us did some typical tourist things. We headed down to Pike’s Fish Market for a stroll and to check out the Sound. They loved it! My dad loved pushing Claire around. Such a proud grandpa!
They gave her birthday presents to her, and she loved them. This adorable fish puppet and cute outfit, plus a great photo album and first words book. Fun!!
We headed out for dinner that night and met up with Jeff. Claire did great at the beginning, but when it started getting past her bedtime, she got a little fussy. She ended up in Mema Martha’s arms and cuddled her way to sleep. Too cute!
Sunday I made big plans for us to take some ferry’s around up north and do some site-seeing. Well, I didn’t plan it very well, because apparently there was a big motorcycle rally going on in the area we were driving in, so we hit a bunch of traffic. I wanted us to do three ferry’s, but we only made one. Oh well. We still had fun hanging out and catching up (and doing a lot of driving). We went by Deception Pass again and checked out the beach. It’s just so beautiful and peaceful there. We stopped at a cute place for a late lunch and then headed home around 7 pm. Claire did great all day. We got some awesome pictures!!
Monday I took off work and we went to Snoqualmie Falls. It was once again a perfect fall day and the colors were beautiful. They loved the falls. Claire practiced her walking and checked out the flowers. She was all smiles. Then we headed home and just vedged. Kind of nice and relaxing.

Tuesday they headed back home. We had such a great time, and Claire definitely bonded with them. She’s so at ease with them.
